Zambia’s Samuel Maimbo has officially joined the raced for the presidency of the African Development Bank (AfDB). Maimbo, a development finance expert with a career spanning three decades says his Presidency will focus on achieving middle income status for Africa. Other candidates in the race that goes to vote in May, include Senegals’ former Minister of Economy and Planning, Amadou Hott as well as Mauritania’s Sidi Ould Tah, who is head of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa.
